Abstract

Some experimental results on Er3+ doped fiber laser pumped by a 971 nm semiconductor laser are reported. A fiber laser with all fiber dispersive cavity formed by a fiber loop reflector and a fiber grating is proposed and demonstrated. The laser output with a linewidth less than 0.05 nm at 1.55 μm wave-band is obtained.
