Abstract

Polymer materials offer many distinct properties compared to other materials, and many functional photonic devices, such as optical amplifiers which are essential components in optical communication systems, have been demonstrated. In this paper, the recent progress in integrated waveguide amplifiers using polymer materials will be discussed.
