Simulation of long-period rectangular-core waveguide gratings

Abstract

Light propagation characteristics of long-period gratings formed in rectangular-core waveguides were investigated theoretically. The results show that the waveguide and grating parameters, as well as the local environments, significantly affect the exact forms of transmission spectra and also the resonance wavelengths.
