摘要

In this study, onset temperature (solidus), T_m and offset temperature (liquidus) T_l of melting of a series of bulk glass forming alloys based on Zr, La, Mg, Pd and rare-earth elements were measured by studying systematically the melting behavior of the alloys using DTA or DSC. The significance of T_rg based on T_g/T_m or T_gT_l and the correlation between resulting T_rg and glass forming ability of the bulk glass forming alloy was determined.
